toes

I'm finally done exams and am heading back home tomorrow for a couple weeks. But before I head out and potentially forget to post (I do apologize in advance), check out these shoes!

Faux skin

I've never been a huge fan of Dr. Martens footwear - everytime I try and enjoy the iconic brand, I get nervous and turned off by he huge toes on the front of the shoe. I've avoided them for years - I bought knock-of military boots just because of the smaller toe on them!

But it seems now this avoidance will have to end. Dr. Martens spring/summer 2011 collection looks inviting, with floral prints (my fave), faux snakeskin prints and casual lace-ups. The big win for me here is the toes! I am definitely considering purchasing a pair with Christmas/birthday/government money!

Fave - florals!!

I really like this collection because the shoes still have grip to help me avoid falling on the ice outside and I can wear them in rotation with my black military boot. I do think they are heading into stores after the winter season, but I feel like this is going to be awesome.

I think these are going to be my first investment in Dr. Martens

ALSO Please never, ever purchase these Footstickers, as pictured below. I don't understand. Will people be wearing them outside or are they to work as a kind of indoor slipper?

Footstickers??

Would you wear them?

wishlist

Because it's Christmas time and I don't have enough time to put together a full post, I'm going to put up pieces from my wishlist up. Enjoy!

two-faced.

I think it's time for a quick study break...

I've been noticing a lot of interesting watches come up in the last few weeks, but I think my favourite look are these dual-faced watches.

In God We Trust, 40.00
Each face has a different time, so it's perfect if you travel, or plan on being in two time-zones frequently.

The above one is from In God We Trust, a company based in NYC that just exudes cool. The jewellery pieces are very unique, as is most of the pieces of clothing. Check out the boutique online here.

Corazon
The above watch is super cute as well, and I would have splurged on it had it a) not requried me to pay for shipping from Japan and b) been sold out. What really sells me on this piece is the difference between the two watch faces. One is very simple and classic, with just Roman numerals on the face, whereas the second is more playful and modern.

What do you think of dual faced watches?

mcqueen.

When Alexander McQueen passed away in last February, I was so overcome with sadness when I heard the news. His designs were influential and beautiful, and he had such an influence on my personal style.

Here's a video from the upcoming collection for Alexander McQueen.

lonely, lonely, lonely

Florals were my absolute favourite thing this summer. It seemed item of clothing I bought somehow had a floral print - tanks, dresses, rompers... Everything. It got to a point where it was a ridiculous. I loved pairing florals with a pleather jacket, as it was a combination that I guess is 'atypical'? Haha, I don't know. Anyways, fall came and winter is here and I have stopped wearing most of these prints. However, Lonely Hearts new collection 'little bandit' is wonderful and definitely makes me want me to reintroduce floral back into my wardrobe/life/shopping list.

FAVOURITE. Just saying.

Notice the headscarf? Try it.

Also, please look at the styling! It definitely makes the look. The military boots with florals and soft, feminine dresses makes an interesting and lovely photo!

What do you think of this collection?
